The 5 Senses Collection
This is a collection I started during my second year at university. I focussed on creating patterns that replicated the cell forms responsible for the 5 senses in the human body and translating these onto silver through machine engraving using patterns I had drawn out on CorelDraw. These are the forms that tie us in to the world around us and allow us understand the present and have new experiences. Once I got further into the project I decided to try create some 3-D abstracted CAD versions of the patterns as rings. The initial collection consists of 7 pairs of hanging earrings, 5 pairs of studs, 5 disc pendants, 5 bracelets, 5 cut-out pendants, 5 band rings and 6 computer modelled rings.
Below I have posted images of some of the engraved pieces and computer modelled rings I have made for each sense.
